Friday Madness #1 - Travel

silly game again...

The game is easy! I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it! ;)

To make things more fun, the questions have to reflect the chosen theme. For example, if the theme is LAUGHTER, all questions should relate to that topic. Can you deliver a joke well? Which comedian would you want to have dinner with? As much as possible, let’s not repeat the questions for added fun! You are also welcome to play more than once.

The Theme: Travel

The Question: What is your dream place to travel?

Thursday Thirteen #2 - Kiddie Party

Preparing for a Kiddie Party is not that easy. My son's will be turning one this coming 15th of September but months before his special day we already prepared everything. For my thursday thirteen topic I will be giving tips of preparing for your kiddos big day.

1. Plan your Budget - as early as May my huby & I prepared the budget for our son's bday.

2. Pick Appropriate Party Theme - before it was Cars then we changed it to Lego then Baby Einstein then Elmo then finally we ended up with his most favorite Baby Genius..he likes DJ the Dino.

3. Look for a Venue - we had some ocular visit of some places. Then we ended up with the one who will fit to the budget.

4. Settle for a Convenient Date - my son's bday will fall on Monday since its working day for moms & dads and school days for some kids...so we decided we will celebrate it on Saturday.

5. Get a Party Package - look for party packages...it will save you both time and money.

6. Go over the Caterer's menu - i am particular with the taste so i have to pick the right delicious one for kids.

7. Print Invitations - i just printed out my invitation last week si i have to distribute it late...soweee.

8. Choose a Party Favors / Party Goodies - for trey's favor its a cloth bag that has a DJ print on it.

9. Design for the cake - create an cutie design that kids will love it.

10. Customize some of the Packages - look for parts you want to exclude in the package and upgrade some of the stuffs.

11. Count the number of Heads - this is important for this will depend on you budget. playmates or
friends of your kid

12. Consider Adult's Menu - in my case i have a separate menu for adults.

13. Add Special Effects for the Party - i added some playgrounds and foodcarts for the kids to enjoy.

1st day

For my 1st day...they said i'll be having an orientation but seems everyone was so busy they just gave me a company hand out to read. That works with me though...because as 5years in this IT field i am so sick and tired with orientation. I was able to finished the hand out by morning and by afternoon they assigned to me the short courses i'll be taking up for my Devel refresher.
The following: Linux, Unix programming, TCPIP, Shell programming, C, and Sockets programming. I'll be dealing more with the systems now...kinda challenging its my system or back end experience. I am always a middleware and front end stuffs.
I just hope that this will be a better change for me and a good start also.

TREY TURNS 5-Months

Trey turns 5months last month. Now he can eat 6-8ounces of solid food in a day. I started his solid feeding during his four months, his Doki didn't allow me though. Bad Me...but I'm confident that Trey can start his solid foods. I thank God we didn't had hard time feeding him...he's not so picky with foods...only me. I hate carrots for it stains Trey's burping cloth and shirts. He manages to roll over and reach for stuffs inside his crib. He can sit also but with a pillow support.

He's a genius now. He invents wordless vocabularies that is made up of coos and grunts. Trey can utter word such as: "Ma...Ma", "HmMO...Mo" and "Mi". These are his few words...it was exciting for my part to know his developments. Can't wait for him to be 6months...more of his milestones.
I love you Trey...I am so proud of you!
